Reshaping Lives America is an expansion of Reshaping Lives California, our pilot program created in 2016 to provide life-changing reconstructive surgery for California patients in need, at no cost. To date, over 1,000 patients have received life-changing care from our board-certified volunteer surgeons through the Reshaping Lives California program.
Reshaping Lives America is an expansion of Reshaping Lives California, our pilot program created in 2016 to provide life-changing reconstructive surgery for California patients in need, at no cost. This national expansion was initially made possible through an investment from Sientra, a medical aesthetics company uniquely focused on plastic surgery, and through leadership from Sientra CEO Ron Menezes who serves as the chairman of Reshaping Lives America Council of Trustees, the funding arm for the program.
Reshaping Lives America is initially focused on our new Reshaping Lives: Full Circle program providing no-cost breast reconstruction surgery for post-mastectomy women in the U.S. who are uninsured or underinsured. For each surgery Mission Plasticos performs, Sientra supplies their state-of-the-art silicone gel implants and one-of-a-kind breast tissue expanders with additional partners MTF biologics providing their Allograft Dermal Matrix and Restorative Ink Specialists providing 3D nipple tattooing. Further generous support for the program includes monetary support from MiraDry, custom bras from AnaOno, and skincare products from AlumierMD.
Reshaping Lives: Full Circle exists through the generosity of our board-certified plastic surgeons who volunteer their time and facilities, our partners, and the donations of companies and individuals who believe every woman deserves a full journey of care.
