Mission Plasticos, a 501-c3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing reconstructive surgical care to those in medically underserved communities around the globe, raised $1.3 million dollars at their annual gala.The gala was chaired by Caro Van Hove, CEO of NC8 an ExploraMed Company, Matt Eberle and Ruth Ann Burns. Sientra was presented the Corporate Humanitarian award for their extraordinary investment which enables Mission Plasticos to complete the journey of care for thousands of women unable to access post-mastectomy breast reconstruction and presented Dr. Hans Keirstead with the Global Humanitarian award for his humanitarian and scientific achievements which have saved and improved countless lives across the globe. Lead sponsors included Sientra, AIVITA Biomedical, AbbVie, MiraDry, Johnson & Johnson, Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery, Andrews + Thornton, Miracle Mile Advisors and Zadro Products. In attendance were Alexandra Gucci and her husband Josef Zarini, Dr. Philippe and Dr. Isabelle Schaison, Wayne Gross, Anne Andrews, Dr. Hans and Dr. Niki Keirstead, Senator Joe Dunn, Senator Dick Ackerman and rock drummer Samantha Maloney, currently starring in the Netflix documentary, Count Me In.
